Decor Inspiration: Orange

I can't believe November is almost over, I have barely gotten a chance to enjoy fall colors and clothes especially given how warm it's been! Since we'll soon be knee deep in red and green, I thought it would be nice to look at a few rooms that feature my favorite autumnal color, orange. Whether it's a room swathed completely in tangerine or simply a pop of soft orange suede, orange always brings life and warmth to a room.

Monday Recipe: Pineapple Casserole

A few years ago, my friend, and later roommate, Kelly made a fabulous pineapple casserole for a Thanksgiving themed potluck at her house. I don't remember exactly how she made it and I have never been resourceful enough to ask her for the recipe so instead I decided to do a lot of google-ing this past Sunday when my house hosted our now annual Thanksgiving potluck. Luckily, I picked a winner and ended up with a delightfully sweet, moist casserole.

Adapted from Allrecipes.com:

Pineapple Casserole

1/2 cup butter

1 cup white sugar

4 eggs

1 pinch cinnamon

1 pinch nutmeg

7 slices white bread, torn

1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple

Mash together butter and sugar. Add one egg at time. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, bread, and pineapple. Mix together and put in medium size casserole dish. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Enjoy!

Lusting for Leopard

Again, with the animals prints... this time, I have a faux fur swing jacket on my Christmas list. They're the most fabulous way to dress up a pair of skinny black pants. 3/4 sleeves and a boxy shape are a must. Either of these from Piperlime would be great.
